their goal of seizing the Guards headquarters in Chabahar.
The city of Chabahar where the terrorists attacked is 1400
kilometers away from Tehran, the capital of Iran. Terrorists opened fire in two
or three areas simultaneously. It seems that these attacks were carried out by
Sunni militants. It is believed that the Jaish al-Adl group was responsible for
the shooting. The Jaish al-Adl organization is fighting to provide more rights
and better living facilities to the Baluchi ethnic minority in Shia-dominated
Iran. Iran has attacked security forces several times in the past.
